Both Eyes Open Photography was established in 1996 in Whitehorse, Yukon and has been at the forefront of the photographic industry since then.  After nearly two decades in Toronto, competing with some of the best photographers in the country, we have relocated back to the Yukon. Now armed with 24 years of photographic experience and business management skills, we have extensive experience in all things photography.

Portraits:  Our completely portable studio allows us to come to you and set up in an office or even in the middle of a soccer field.  We interact with each person on a personal level to make them as comfortable as possible which allows us to bring out the individual's personality.  We have a variety of backdrop options available and/or can source locations to suit your requirements.

Group Portraits:  We can photograph a group of any size.  By photographing from a higher vantage point it allows us to  organize everyone to ensure all faces are visible. Location is essential for this and we scout the perfect place for each group portrait beforehand. 

Operated Photo Booth:  We interact with each subject to make sure they receive an experience to remember.  This makes the event and or the shoot more fun for everyone who attends. With our customized borders and green screen technology we can figuratively transport a subject to a different location and or add a banner with a marketing message.  Images can be emailed and/or printed directly on site.

Green Screen:  We use the latest in chroma key technology to figuratively transport any subject to anywhere in the world with a click of a mouse.  We use superior photographic technique with proper studio lighting to allow us to immediately send the images via email and/or print it at your photoshoot location.  On location print sizes available are 4x6, 5x7and 6x8.

Events:  We can create roaming images as the event unfolds and make sure to capture the essence of the event for years to remember.  Speakers, presentations, productions, guest interactions can all be captured throughout the event.

Sports: Knowledge of how the game is played is vital to photographing any sport successfully.  We study your sport prior to the event to make sure those unforgettable moments are not missed.  Our professional telephoto lenses allow us to photograph sports at a distance or right on the field.  We can operate in all lighting and weather conditions. 

Architecture:  We photograph to show the location but make sure to capture the essence of your property.  Intimate detail images will give an idea of the atmosphere you wish to portray. We see each environment as a unique structure that needs to tell your story. 

360 Virtual tours:  This is a great way to show off your entire space with full 360 images.  These images will give an exact representation of the area you wish to showcase which increases bookings and hits to your website.  We are Google Street View approved and by loading your 360 Virtual Tours to Google Street View it will increase your “SEO” Search Engine Optimization and provide a great platform to display, share and promote your property or business without a hosting cost. 

Pets:  We interact with your furever friends on their level, and develop a trust that allows us to capture your pet in their natural relaxed state.  We take our time and play with your pet while our gear is visible and setup. This allows your furever friends to explore all our equipment and become comfortable with the process of the studio environment.  Our portable studio allows us to set up anywhere you wish to capture these unforgettable moments. 

Products:  We provide simple product images, an exact representation of your creations, for websales or atmosphere images.  We can also show a product in use to generate an experience or feeling. We have a variety of backgrounds available or we can customize the look to your specifications.

Food:  Each Chef is an artist in their own right and we showcase this to create a look only your restaurant or kitchen can provide.  We have a variety of backgrounds or can customize the look to your specifications. 

Weddings:  It is your special day! We work with you and your guests to make sure nothing is missed throughout your wedding and reception.  Our creative briefing process allows us to recognize your unique requirements and adjust to your needs. Our portable studio can be set up anywhere to create the best experience  possible. 

Image Editing and Restorations:  Our digital artists can take your specifications and edit images to your exact preferences.  Your images are edited for easy changes and can even turn off particular adjustments. This allows us to always deliver to your satisfaction. 

Graphic Design:  Create a custom look for your photoshoot with border designs that can portray a marketing message or just to give the images some added zip.  These additional graphics can then be printed onsite and/or emailed directly to the client. We can create custom backgrounds, logos and borders to give any project an individual, unique look.

Printing and Scanning Services:  Our portable printer can be set up anywhere to print 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8 in approximately 14 seconds.  We are able to provide 8x10 to 13x19 prints in the studio and up to 24x36 printed off site by special order.  We can scan prints up to 8.5x11 in size as well as 35mm and 120mm negative/slide. All images are edited and colour matched prior to delivery.
